1. Go to the right side of your bike, remove the two side covers, A and B, then you will find the battery behind B guarded by an elastic band. 2. Unhook the elastic band and disconnect the negative terminal (optional) then you can pull out the battery. 3 (a) To charge your battery: If you have not disconnected the negative terminal in the last step, disconnect the negative cable and the positive one. Charge your battery with a charger or using a jumper cable to charge it from your car (be very careful, please read the disclaimer). 3 (b) To jump start your bike: I have read some warnings on the Internet saying it is not safe to jump-start a bike. If you still want to jump start your bike, connect both of the terminals back to the battery and connect the battery to your car’s battery using a jumper cable (be extremely careful, please read the disclaimer). 4. Install the battery in the reverse order of removal. It is advised in the manual to apply some grease on the terminal. |
